ision, artistic vision, and personalized care to every patient interaction. Originally from New York City, Dr. Samas began his medical journey at Stony Brook University, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Philosophy. While at Stony Brook, he contributed to groundbreaking cancer research as a research associate working on targeted chemotherapy, a role that ignited his lifelong dedication to science, innovation, and patient centered healing. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, then completed a rigorous General Surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center. It was there that he discovered his true calling: Plastic Surgery. Dr. Samas went on to receive advanced fellowship training in Plastic, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, the oldest and largest private plastic surgery practice in the United States. During this fellowship, he trained under some of the nation’s most respected surgeons and developed a deep appreciation for the blend of artistry and technical mastery required for exceptional aesthetic outcomes. Throughout his training, Dr. Samas gained extensive hands on experience at high volume New York hospitals, including Level 1 Trauma Centers, a regional burn center, and a hyperbaric wound care center. This exposure allowed him to manage some of the most challenging reconstructive cases and shaped his ability to approach each patient with skill, creativity, and confidence. Dr. Samas has published research in peer reviewed journals, received a Young Investigator Award, and presented his work at both national and international medical conferences. He is committed to lifelong learning, staying up to date on the latest surgical advancements, and integrating modern techniques that support safety, comfort, and beautiful, natural looking results. After 10 years of training, Dr. Samas moved to Colorado to be closer to family and embrace a more balanced lifestyle. Prior to founding 5280 Plastic Surgery, he worked with several of Denver’s top aesthetic practices, earning a reputation for his attentive bedside manner, transparency, and surgical expertise. Today, he maintains hospital privileges at two North Denver hospitals and performs surgery both in his office based operating room as well as at The Orthopedic Surgery Center, North Metro Surgery Center, and Murphy Plastic Surgery Center. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Samas enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hiking Colorado’s scenic trails, traveling, and playing basketball.
