Ever wondered what you should do after your massage to get the best results? Save this post for after your next session!

1. Drink plenty of water! Massage results in cellular debris that will need to circulate out of your body through your lymphatic system. Water is extremely important for these processes! 💦

2. Avoid intense activities. Even though you may feel good, massages can result in tissue damages. There is enough for your body to process without tearing down more muscle tissue. 🥱

3. DO NOT sit still. While it is important not to add more damage to your system, it's also important to get your body moving to circulate the debris. Gentle movement such as yoga or a walk is encouraged! 🙃

4. Epsom salt baths are your best friend. Epsom salt has been shown to stimulate lymph circulation in the body, while the magnesium helps neutralize acid waste and the nitric oxide helps relax blood vessels. This can help decrease soreness in the tissue that has been worked. 🥰

5. It is encouraged to eat a health diet high in protein for the next 24-48 hours. Since we are potentially causing tissue damage, it is helpful to provide the body with the building blocks to repair that tissue. 💪

6. Sleep is when the body undertakes significant physical restoration and recovery. Prioritize quality sleep habits to support your tissue in the recovery process! 😴

It is IMPORTANT to note that while Epsom salt is generally safe it is important that you check with your healthcare provider to be sure that Epsom salt baths are safe for YOU. If you have diabetes this is especially important as salt baths can cause drying of the skin and potential splits or cracks in the skin barrier which can be extremely dangerous in the diabetic population 🫶

What is outcome based massage therapy?

1. Client-Centered Goals:
Therapy is guided by specific, measurable outcomes the client wants to achieve. Think... 💥reduced pain
🎯improved range of motion
😴better sleep
💪return to a specific activity

2. Evidence-Informed Assessment:
✅Uses structured intake
✅Functional testing
✅ongoing reassessment
to identify root causes and track progress objectively.

3.Targeted, Adaptive Techniques:
💥Techniques and modalities are selected and modified based on real-time tissue response and progress toward the goal—not a predetermined protocol. Techniques change as the client improves.

4. Measurable Progress and Accountability:
Sessions include pre- and post-treatment benchmarks
✨“pain reduced from 7/10 to 3/10”
or
✨“can now lift arm 20° higher” Treatment plans are adjusted if outcomes aren’t met within expected timelines.

This approach shifts massage from relaxation-focused to results-driven clinical care.

You may be wondering, how long should wear the Rapid Reboot boots to receive benefits? Let us explain!

The length of time you should wear Rapid Reboot boots depends on the intensity of your activity and your desired outcome!

Quick reboot: For a pre-workout session or quick reboot, you can use the boots for 10 minutes.

Recovery: For a long workout or race, you should use the boots for at least 20–30 minutes.

Maximum results: You can get the maximum benefits within 30 minutes, even after a long race or intense workout. Longer use is not necessarily better.

We get asked a lot about the differences between an infrared sauna and a traditional steam sauna, so let us explain!

There are 3 key differences between the two types of saunas: how they heat the sauna, how hot they run, and how they feel.

Infrared saunas like ours use infrared heaters to heat your body DIRECTLY! Infrared saunas also typically run at a lower temperature (~130F) and are typically a drier heat than traditional steam saunas.

Come FEEL the difference! Call (205)303-5631 or book online (link in bio)

There are so many people who CAN benefit from a Lymphatic Drainage massage. However, there are certain people who should refrain from receiving one:

1. If you have a heart condition. Receving a Lymphatic Drainage massage could worsen your condition.
2. If you have blood clots. Lymphatic drainage massage can potentially dislodge clots, causing them to travel throughout the body, leading to severe complications.
3. If you are experiencing kidney failure. A lymphatic drainage massage could potentially overload a compromised renal system by rapidly introducing large volumes of fluid for filtration.

If you have questions about if you are a good fit for Lymphatic Drainage Massages, please call (205)303-5631 or consult your doctor.
