Dear Vets Out of the Rough and Northport Golf Communities,
It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of our dear friend, John Welch, who suffered a massive stroke a little over a week ago.
John possessed a heart larger than life itself, radiating warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength of character to all who knew him. He never hesitated to extend a helping hand, whether to family, friends, veterans, or strangers who crossed his path. John embodied the United States Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis—“Always Faithful”—in every aspect of his life. His presence alone had a way of making the world a better place.
While the VA will cover his medical expenses, there are significant additional costs, including funeral expenses. To support his family during this difficult time, we have set up a GoFundMe account on their behalf. If you are able to contribute or share the fundraiser, it would mean so much.
