☮🤗👣🦋 ** What do you know about the lymphatic system?
It's part of your immune system and its biggest function is to help your body fight back against potential illness, and it also helps to maintain body fluid levels, absorb digestive tract fats, and remove cellular waste.
The system uses "lymph"- a clear fluid to move different substances, like proteins, minerals, fats, nutrients, damaged cells, cancer cells, and bacteria, viruses, white blood cells, etc, throughout the body. Sometimes lymph can become stagnant, which can lead to health issues as waste and toxins that need to be eliminated aren't, and white blood cells don't get to where they need to go to fight infection.
Massage therapy offers a rather relaxing way to "tune up" your lymphatic system. As the therapist applies pressure and movement to different parts of the body, it stimulates the lymphatic vessels to get to work.

The lymphatic system is the body's internal drainage system designed to rid your blood of acids & toxic waste. Without a properly functioning lymph system, our bodies become toxic waste bins which result in increase weight & cellulite, arthritis, bursitis, different cancers and a compromised immune system. 👣🤗⚕️

🦋The vagus nerve system acts to counterbalance the fight or flight system and can trigger a relaxation response in our body. It is one of the cranial nerves that connect the brain to the body. ** The Vagus Nerve is the nerve associated with strokes ** The vagus nerve is a major part of how our bodies and brains function; without it, our bodies wouldn’t be able to do basic tasks, and by stimulating it we can receive powerful health benefits.
🦋Vagal tone/health is vital to over all health, here's ways to help yourself and others:
🍇Polyphenols - abundant in plant-based foods and vital in the gut-brain-axis process. The VN is the link between the brain and the gut.
🎶 Singing/chanting - activates the VN as it innervates the muscles at the back of your throat.
🧘Meditation/deep breathing - helps you relax, and deep breathing stimulates specific receptors that will stimulate the VN.
🏃‍♀️Vagus nerve activity increases after exercise. Exercise also helps to decrease stress levels.
🤗👣Hands-on bodywork can stimulate vagal function, directly and indirectly (relaxation)
🚿 Cold face wash/shower - research has shown to activate the VN and neural transmitters of the parasympathetic nervous system.
💗Look after your health - look after your vagus nerve

Did you know massage affects all 12 systems in your body?

Not just your muscles.
Not just your stress.
All. Twelve. Systems.

🧠 Nervous system — calms fight-or-flight
🫀 Circulatory system — boosts blood flow
🫁 Respiratory system — slows your breath
🫃 Digestive system — supports “rest and digest”
🩻 Skeletal system — improves posture and alignment
💪 Muscular system — eases tightness and tension
🧬 Endocrine system — regulates stress hormones
🛡 Immune system — strengthens defenses
🫒 Lymphatic system — clears out waste
💥 Integumentary system — (that’s your skin) gets major glow
🚽 Urinary system — helps flush toxins
🧸 Reproductive system — yes, even hormonal balance gets support

Massage therapy is full-body therapy.
It’s not fluff. It’s function.
