We are an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic that specializes in orthopaedic, vestibular and neurological rehabilitation.

Todd Miller is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist and has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1999. Thank you for choosing North River Therapy for your rehabilitation needs! Todd Miller received his undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of Mobile. Desiring to give patients the best possible care, Todd realized he wanted to specialize in orthopaedics, earning a Board Certification in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2005. Most recently, he worked with Amedisys overseeing the Therapy staff and helped organize the Vestibular Rehabilitation program. I wonder if she remembered his first steps
while she stood beneath his last

If the sound of the hammer
echoed like the rhythm
of his little feet running toward her

Mama, look

I wonder
if she thought about the first time
he said her name
soft and small
before the world ever called Him Savior

Before crowds
Before miracles
Before the weight of the cross

He was just her boy

The one she carried
The one she held
The one she kissed goodnight

And now—

Now she stands
with empty hands
watching the same hands
that once reached for hers
stretched out on wood

Pierced

I wonder if her heart whispered
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go

Or if somewhere deep within her
she knew…

This was exactly
why He came

Because He was never only her son

He was her Savior too

The same voice that once said
Mama
now speaks forgiveness over the world

The same hands she once wrapped
in cloth
are now bearing the weight
of every sin

And still—

He looks at her

Not just as a King
Not just as a sacrifice

But as her son

And I wonder
if in that moment
her heart broke in two directions

Grieving the boy she raised
and worshiping the God He is

Because what kind of mother
watches her child die
and still calls it holy

What kind of love
stands at the foot of suffering
and doesn’t turn away

Mary did

She stayed

Through the pain
Through the questions
Through the silence of heaven

She stayed

And maybe that’s what love is

Not understanding
Not fixing
Not rescuing

But staying

Even when your heart
is being nailed to the cross
right alongside Him

And I wonder
through tear blurred eyes
if she whispered

That’s my son

and at the very same time

That’s my Savior

Today is Holy Thursday…
And love looked like a table

Not a throne
Not a crowd shouting His name
Just a room
a meal
and the people closest to Him

Even the one who would betray Him

Jesus knew

He knew the denial was coming
the betrayal was already in motion
the cross was only hours away

And still

He sat down with them

He broke the bread
He poured the wine

“This is My body”
“This is My blood”

Not symbols of comfort
but of what He was about to give

Everything

And then

He got lower

The King of heaven
wrapped in a towel

kneeling

washing feet that would run
serving hearts that would scatter

Even Judas

Even Peter

Even the ones who wouldn’t stay

Because that’s who Jesus is

He doesn’t love based on what you’ll do
He loves because of who He is

And I wonder

Would I have understood it

Or would I have sat at that table
thinking it was just another meal

Not realizing
I was watching love rewrite everything

Because this wasn’t just dinner

This was surrender

This was the moment
He showed us what love really looks like

Not loud
Not self-seeking
Not holding back

But kneeling
serving
giving

And today

on this Holy Thursday

I feel Him asking

Will you love like this

Will you serve when it’s hard
stay when it costs
give when it’s not returned

Because the same hands
that broke the bread

are the same hands
that would be broken for you

So don’t rush past this moment

Sit at the table

Let it sink in

This is what love looks like

And it’s about to change everything

Merry Christmas!
Praying we remember the joy we have in Jesus despite our circumstances. I’m reminded that joy and grief can exist at the same time. Thank you for your support and encouragement over 2025, it’s meant so much! You have always been such a caring community for us but even more so the last few weeks. Thank you.

Just a friendly reminder as the New Year quickly approaches, all deductibles will be starting over on January 1, 2026. There may be additional charges to your account related to your deductible. We will be having all patients re-sign an insurance verification form so you will be aware of how much your deductible is up front. If you have any questions feel free to check with your insurance policy.

We feel such gratitude to Phillip at Weaver Rentals, Price McGiffert, Scott Lindsey, and all of the prayers our families and community have prayed. We have all felt so supported, loved and cared for and we can’t thank you enough. It’s not business as usual but to a small business it’s important we get back as quickly as possible.
Continue to pray for 2 of our employees who were injured and for all of us emotionally and mentally. We covet your prayers.

I hung this in our break room a week or 2 ago. It hits differently since Mondays event.
Praise Jesus the penciled events of our life doesn’t compare to the permanent and eternal.

Please keep our office in your prayers. Please pray for our employees who were hurt and for everyone who was here and witnessed it all, we are obviously all shaken. The driver of the car was somehow impaired and has also been taken to the hospital.
Thank you for everyone’s calls and texts. We feel so loved from everyone checking on us. Thank you.
God is good as always and has especially protected us today.
