✨ Welcome Aboard Jeffrey!! ✨

Jeffrey (he/him) is an Associate Licensed Counselor dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families overcome challenges, build resilience, and pursue meaningful, long-term well-being. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Music Industry from Troy University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from The University of Alabama.

Jeffrey is committed to serving clients from diverse backgrounds and is especially passionate about expanding access to mental health services within underserved communities. His work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and experience an improved quality of life. Jeffrey’s professional experience includes work in private practice, school counseling settings as well as extensive experience in case management and family systems—roles that strengthened his understanding of trauma, behavior patterns, and the importance of collaborative, holistic care. He has a special interest in supporting adolescents, young adults, and men navigating emotional, relational, or identity-related challenges.

Jeffrey’s approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. In addition to his clinical work, he is the author of Things We Needed To Hear, a self-published affirmation journal designed to encourage emotional wellness, mindfulness, and personal growth, available on Amazon.

Outside of his work as a counselor, Jeffrey values spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys singing, playing piano, and participating in worship—reflecting his deep passion for his Christian faith and the grounding role it plays in his life.

Jeffrey is currently practicing under the supervision of Andrea Gregg Whitten, PhD., LPC-S. Jeffrey accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, private payments and also offers reduced-rate sessions on a sliding scale based on your income. With 7 years of experience specializing in trauma, I’ve learned that deep healing requires a personalized toolkit. Every person’s story is different, and therapy should reflect that 💜

My approach to therapy is integrative and trauma-informed, combining advanced EMDR techniques with somatic and relational methods to help reorganize how the brain stores traumatic memories. Healing isn’t a graded assignment. No one’s handing out A+’s. 💛

As a recovering people pleaser myself, ❤️‍🩹 It can be hard not to dwell on the flaws or unmet expectations you set for yourself. However, The only thing that matters is that you keep showing up — imperfect, honest, and willing. That’s already enough.

Healing isn’t a competition. There’s no gold medal for “most emotionally evolved.” 🏅💛

Growth doesn’t come with a report card. You’re not failing.

There’s no extra credit for being hard on yourself. ✨

You don’t get bonus points for suffering in silence.

Recovery isn’t pass or fail. It’s show up and try again. 💛

There’s no deadline for becoming the “best version” of you.

You’re allowed to learn in pencil, not permanent marker. ✏️

Progress isn’t linear, graded, or judged. It’s practiced.

You don’t have to ace healing to deserve peace.
Being a work in progress doesn’t mean you’re behind. 💫
