🦋 Spreading Kindness, One Butterfly at a Time 🦋Heather Greene, a 6th grade teacher at Oakridge Upper Elementary in Muskegon, Michigan, inspired her students to live out their classroom’s theme: “Be the Change,” inspired by Chris Rosati and the idea that one small act of kindness can create a ripple effect. They focused their kindness on individuals bravely battling cancer. Their project for the Johnson Family Cancer Center included a vibrant banner filled with encouraging messages and hand-decorated clay butterflies and hearts to hang in the cancer center—each one crafted with love, hope and the goal of bringing joy. These gifts made by precious hands are more than just decorations—they’re symbols of transformation, strength and the power of compassion. 💛Heather met with Nick Erickson, Operations Director, and Grant Depies, Practice Manager, at the Johnson Family Cancer Center to present the banner and butterflies on behalf of her students. This is a beautiful reminder that acts of kindness at any age can make a big difference. Thank you, Heather and all the 6th graders at Oakridge Upper Elementary!
