To be clear:
As a human serving organization, as clinicians, as sons, as daughters, as parents, as partners, as friends, as community members, as human beings, we proudly and unequivocally stand with the voiceless, the oppressed, and the outcast.
We believe dignity is not conditional. Humanity is not earned. Safety, care, and compassion should never depend on where someone was born, the language they speak, the paperwork they do or do not have, the color of their skin, or how convenient their existence is for the systems around them.
As social workers and clinicians, our ethics do not allow neutrality in the face of dehumanization. When systems rely on fear, separation, or disposability, we are compelled professionally and personally to speak.
This is not about politics. This is about people. Families. Children. Neighbors. Community members living under constant threat and uncertainty. We reject the normalization of harm. We will always choose humanity over fear. That is not radical.
People are not disposable.
