The question of flourish compatibility with apple cider vinegar has arisen on numerous occasions. Answering that question also offers the opportunity to highlight one of the attributes of our living liquid formulation. First, to answer the question about taking flourish products with apple cider vinegar. To test this combination, I procured four of the most popular brands of apple cider vinegar to test their pH levels. The pH of these products ranged from 3.30 to 3.50. I was actually surprised by these numbers, thinking that the acidity levels would be higher. That being said, our products are quite comfortable in the pH ranges of apple cider vinegar. In fact, while brewing/growing the probiotics, the pH range naturally can drop into the 3.2 to 3.5 range. Our probiotics naturally produce lactic acid as a by-product of metabolism; lactic acid drops the pH. Through other studies we know that our formulation can maintain viability in the pH range of 2 to 14. What are the lessons to be learned here? First and foremost our probiotics are hearty and can withstand the environment of the stomach to get to the lower part of the gastrointestinal system where they reside and do their wonders. It is also important to mention that a few of our species are spore formers, which mean they can protect themselves with an outer shell to get through the stomach and into the lower GI. Secondly, it is acceptable to take flourish concurrently with apple cider vinegar, a popular supplement to augment the functioning of the stomach. To complete my experiment, I had to try the combo for myself. I mixed three tablespoons of regular flourish with three tablespoons of Braggs organic, raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. It was a tasty treat that made my stomach feel like a digestive champion! Take home message: flourish probiotics maintain the most natural, living, liquid milieu to offer outstanding health promoting outcomes. In good health, Jerod.
