What happens when creativity meets a little friendly competition? Pure joy. 💛
Thanks to the incredible volunteers from Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, kids in the hospital got to decorate their own wooden derby cars in the morning and then watch them race down the ramp at the Woodshop 500 in the afternoon. 🏁✨
Moments like these remind us how play, imagination, and community can brighten hospital days in the most meaningful way.

Big news! 🎉 Dr. Ian Michelow, Division Head of Infectious Diseases and Immunology here at Connecticut Children’s, has been selected to serve on the Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner’s Public Health Advisory Committee. 🙌

Dr. Michelow will join a team of physicians and medical experts to advise Commissioner Manisha Juthani, MD, on public health matters—including guidance from the CDC and FDA.

This work will play a vital role in protecting the health of children and families throughout our state. 💖😊 Please help us congratulate Dr. Michelow on this incredible honor!

Yesterday was a day of courage and hope 💛

Hyundai Hope On Wheels joined us at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center to present a $400,000 Scholar Hope Grant for Dr. Ching Lau’s innovative cancer research, and $100,000 as the presenting sponsor of this year’s PJ Day for the Kids CT Childrens.

During the Handprint Ceremony, our patients left their mark on a Hyundai vehicle—handprints that symbolize their fight against cancer and the hope that fuels us all.

Thank you, Hyundai Hope On Wheels, for standing with our kids and families. Together, we are driving toward cures. 🚗🎗
