Bottle aversion isn’t always obvious - and feeding challenges don’t have to be severe to matter.

Turning away from the bottle, not latching quickly or efficiently, or only taking small amounts from a bottle at a time can be early cues your baby needs a little extra support.

Practicing bottles early and often (a few times a week) can help build comfort and confidence over time, and prevent further problems.

Keep feeds low-pressure and responsive to your baby’s cues.

If something doesn’t feel right, reaching out to us for guidance early on can make feeding smoother for everyone.

The theme of the week was contact nap guilt. Let’s talk about it.

Contact naps aren’t just sweet—they’re doing so much behind the scenes.

Snuggled close, baby feels safe and secure, which helps regulate their little nervous system 🧠

They often sleep deeper & your body helps steady their heart rate, breathing, and temperature.

Plus, all those cuddles = bonding, connection, and a little forced rest for you too!!

You’re not “spoiling” your baby… you’re supporting their development one snuggle at a time 🤍

✨Hearing a clicking while your baby feeds?

Clicking can mean your baby is struggling to maintain a seal, which can lead to inefficient feeding, extra air intake (hello, gas! 💨), and frustration at the breast or bottle.
If you notice this, it’s worth getting a feeding evaluation by a trained professional to check their latch, tongue function, and oral strength.

Strong feeding skills start with how a baby sucks.

Good suction and tongue movement support feeding efficiency and comfort.
