Circle of Friends of Connecticut

Circle of Friends of Connecticut Circle of Friends provides social experience & friendship to children, teens, young adults and adults with special needs.

Circle of Friends is a volunteer organization that reaches out to children, teens and young adults with special needs in Fairfield County, CT and involves them in a full array of inclusive, social experiences. Our innovative programming of home visits, play dates and social interactions, is designed to foster a relationship between children, teens and young adults with special needs and community teenage volunteers. In addition to helping families in need, Circle of Friends empowers and enriches its network of volunteers (the majority of whom are teenagers) by enabling them to reap the vast rewards of participating in a program that strengthens their personal connections to the community by giving back to the community. Circle of Friends is non-sectarian and reaches out to all faith communities.

Friendship isn’t automatic. It doesn’t just appear because people have good intentions. It takes planning, patience, staff, space, and people who choose to show up.

At Circle of Friends, friendship looks like a participant being greeted by name.
It looks like programs designed so everyone can fully take part.
It looks like friendships forming where they might not have elsewhere.

None of that happens by chance.

Your year-end gift isn’t just a donation.
It’s what turns intention into action.
It’s what helps us open our doors again tomorrow, next month, and into the new year.

Because friendship doesn’t happen by chance.
It happens because of YOU!
