The Homestead residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch outing today at Fareway Franks, and it was such a special experience for everyone. From the welcoming atmosphere to the delicious food and friendly staff, the afternoon was filled with smiles, conversation, and meaningful moments together.

Yesterday was filled with laughter, connection, and delicious fun in Assisted Living! 🥟💛

Our residents had a wonderful time learning how to make pot stickers together with the help of Nick and Sonia, who made the morning extra special with their guidance and encouragement. We also loved welcoming some of our new team members into the activity, creating a fun opportunity for residents and staff to connect, laugh, and share meaningful moments together.

Activities like these are about so much more than food — they’re about friendship, learning something new, and creating joyful memories together. It truly was a memorable morning for everyone involved! 😊

Yesterday, our wonderful residents at the Homestead celebrated National Apple Pie Day in the sweetest way possible! 🍎🥧

The ladies spent time together baking a delicious homemade apple pie that was later enjoyed during our afternoon snack and social gathering. As the pie baked, the room filled with not only the wonderful smell of apples and cinnamon, but also heartfelt stories and fond memories of making apple pie with loved ones over the years. 💛

It was such a special afternoon filled with laughter, reminiscing, and meaningful connection — proving once again that some of the best moments are made in the kitchen together. 😊

Thursday afternoon in Homestead was filled with sweet treats, wonderful company, and heartfelt celebrations as we honored the amazing mothers in our community. 💐🍦 Residents and families enjoyed a delightful Ice Cream Social complete with cupcakes and the incredible musical talent of David Ambroson, who made the afternoon even more special with his performance. Love, laughter, and cherished memories filled our Assisted Living community as we celebrated the incredible mothers of Holland Farms. 💐💜

Residents and their loved ones gathered for a beautiful afternoon featuring an exquisite luncheon prepared by our culinary team, complete with a comforting soup bar, fresh fruit, and delicious chicken salad croissants. A stunning cake generously provided by Hy-Vee added the perfect sweet touch to the celebration. 🍰

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing residents surrounded by sons, daughters, friends, and family while enjoying the wonderful music of David Ambroson, whose beautiful singing made the afternoon even more memorable.

Moments like these are what make our community feel so special — full of connection, gratitude, and love. 🌸

Our Homestead residents enjoyed another wonderful morning at Paws & Pints, spending time with some adorable pups and soaking in all the joy, laughter, and companionship that comes with it. From playful moments to plenty of smiles, it was a morning full of connection and fun for everyone involved.

The sound of maracas filled the room as laughter and music brought everyone together for a Cinco de Mayo celebration to remember. 🎶

Residents gathered with friends, enjoying festive tunes, tasty chips and salsa, and refreshing mock margaritas. With Chuck joining the celebration, the energy was contagious—and so were the smiles.

We spent May Day spreading a little extra sunshine around our community with cheerful handmade baskets delivered to some very special friends 💐

From MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center and UnityPoint Health - Des Moines to the Norwalk Police Department, Iowa and Norwalk Fire Department - IA, and our friends at Norwalk City Bank, each stop was filled with warm smiles and genuine appreciation. It was such a joy to pause, connect, and share a small token of gratitude with those who do so much for others every day.

Moments like these are what make May Day so meaningful—simple acts of kindness that brighten hearts on both sides of the door. 🌷
