Healing starts with great after-care! Here are simple, effective tips to help keep swelling down and support a smooth recovery: ⬇️⬇️⬇️
🧊 Use Cold Compresses (First 24–48 Hours)
- Apply ice packs to the cheek for 15–20 minutes on, 15–20 minutes off. -This reduces inflammation and eases discomfort!
🛏 Keep Your Head Elevated
- Sleep with 1–2 extra pillows
-Staying elevated helps prevent fluid from pooling in the face
💊 Take Anti-Inflammatory Medications
-Follow your surgeon’s instructions and take prescribed or approved OTC medications
- Helps control swelling before it gets worse
🚫 Avoid Straws & Suction
- No straws, spitting, or va**ng
- Suction can dislodge the blood clot and increase swelling or cause dry socket.
