Today I celebrated Greek Orthodox Easter. As I’ve gotten older, I feel like it’s important to keep family traditions alive and given my cultural background (Greek and Italian), a big part of that is food. We are all about the food 😊 I spent my entire day on Friday making tsoureki (Greek Easter bread). Holiday’s are also a time when we remember loved ones who are no longer here. One way I manage my grief over the holiday’s is to cook foods that remind me of my loved ones and what holiday’s were like either as a kid or when I had them around. We all handle grief and loss differently and this is one way I try and manage my feelings around the holiday’s as well as keep the spirit of my loved ones alive! 💛
