This is something many women don’t talk about.

If intimacy feels painful, tense, or uncomfortable, it can affect more than just your body; it can affect your confidence and relationships, too.

Pain is your body’s way of asking for attention. It is not something you should “push through.”

Pelvic physical therapy can gently address muscle tightness, scar tissue, and coordination issues in a respectful and private environment.

Most importantly, you are treated with dignity and care.

You are not alone in this — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. 💛

Weak glutes can lead to hip and lower back pain.
When we sit too much, our glute muscles become inactive. This can place extra stress on the hips and lower back.

💪 Glute Bridges are a great way to wake up those muscles and support your hips.

How to do it:
• Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat
• Squeeze your glutes and lift your hips
• Hold for 2–3 seconds
• Lower slowly and repeat 10–15 times

Stronger glutes help stabilize your hips and protect your lower back.

Need help building strength safely? A physical therapist can guide you with the right exercises for your body.

🎓 Giving Back to the Future of Physical Therapy 💙

At Cray Physical Therapy, caring for our community goes far beyond the clinic walls. One of the ways we’re most proud to give back is through our scholarship program, supporting local high school graduates who are passionate about pursuing a career in physical therapy.

These students represent the future of our profession—compassionate, driven, and dedicated to helping others heal and move better. Being able to support their journey means so much to us.

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing patients, friends, and community members who purchased our hoodies to help make this possible. Your support helps us invest in the next generation of physical therapists and continue giving back to the community that supports us every day.

Hearing from our recipients reminds us why this program matters so much:

“Your scholarship provided my books and lab materials, allowing me to fully participate in General Chemistry, Cell Biology, Health Science, and Organic Chemistry at Saint Michael’s College. I’m having an incredible experience at Saint Mike’s, and I’m so grateful for your support in making this possible.”
— Lily K., Spring 2025 Recipient

“If You Worry About Sneezing…”

If you brace yourself before you cough…
If you think twice before jumping or running…
If you plan your day around bathroom stops…

Please hear this gently: leaking is common, but you do not have to accept it as your new normal.

So many women quietly live with this, thinking it’s just part of aging or motherhood.

Pelvic physical therapy is compassionate, private care focused entirely on helping you feel confident again. Sometimes it’s about strengthening. Sometimes it’s about learning how to relax and coordinate the muscles properly.

Either way, there is help. You deserve to laugh freely without worry. 💛

Sitting all day? Your hips may be feeling it. When we sit for long periods, our hip flexors tighten and can start pulling on the lower back, leading to stiffness and discomfort.
✨ Try this Hip Flexor Stretch to release tension and improve mobility.
How to do it:
• Step one foot forward into a lunge
• Keep your back knee on the floor
• Gently push your hips forward
• Hold for 20–30 seconds each side

Small daily stretches can make a big difference in how your hips and back feel.

If hip pain or tightness is affecting your daily life, our physical therapists can help you move comfortably again.

“It’s Not Just Back Pain.” Are you dealing with low back pain that just won’t go away, even after stretching, massage, or chiropractic care?

It might not actually be your back.

Many women experience pelvic floor dysfunction that shows up as:
• Low back pain
• Hip discomfort
• Pain with sitting
• Tailbone pain

The pelvic floor muscles connect directly to your spine and hips. When they’re tight, weak, or not coordinating properly, they can refer pain to surrounding areas.

If your pain keeps coming back, it may be time to look deeper.

Cold weather = stiff muscles, achy joints, and old injuries that suddenly remind you they exist ❄️ If winter has you feeling tighter, slower, or more uncomfortable than usual… you’re not alone.

When temperatures drop, we naturally move less, and that can lead to:
• Increased back or hip pain
• Knee stiffness
• Balance concerns
• Pelvic health flare-ups

The good news? You don’t have to “wait for spring.”
At Cray Physical Therapy, we help you stay strong, steady, and moving all winter long with one-on-one personalized care.

If something has been bothering you, now is the perfect time to address it before it becomes a bigger issue.
