Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech was delivered 52 years ago on August 28, 1963 during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in Washington, D.C. The location was the Lincoln Memorial and over 250,000 heard this historic speech. As part of our Learned Environment℠ we rekindled our experience of hearing the words of this amazing man and his quest for equality for all.

While our days are often full of active pursuits, such as basketball, singing, trips, and painting, we also make time for reflection. 🕯️Sometimes we do quiet meditation, sometimes we just listen to a story. Last week, we were blessed to have a visit from Chaplain Francis, who led a session on "Living on Purpose: A Journey into Mindful Spirituality." It was a meaningful experience for everyone.🕯️🕯️

Program Director Somita led some Cordwainer artists in Plein Air Painting (painting outdoors).🎨🎨It was a perfect summer day and the residents captured our raised flower bed displays beautifully.
