a healing process. Holly Boisselle is a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner earning her credentials from The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. She has a keen sense of the body, studying dance as a child and majoring in dance in college before pursuing a career in the medical field. She is experienced in sports training, core strength and conditioning. Always searching for a more naturally balanced holistic way, Holly discovered Bowen to help her own family which inspired her to help others with this wonderful bodywork. Thomas Ambrose Bowen (1916-1982) began developing his technique in the 1950s in Geelong, Australia. He became interested in ways to alleviate human suffering and began to notice that certain moves on the body had particular effects. Tom Bowen developed his technique without having previous formal training in any modality or discipline. In fact, he frequently stated that his work was 'a gift from God'. He continued to develop and refine the technique throughout his lifetime. Bowen is practiced world wide. The American Bowen Academy is recognized by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, American Occupational Therapy Association, California Board of Registered Nurses and Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine
