The following was shared by Julie Gonzalez on our beloved Dr. Pouliot:
“Those who knew Dr. Gerry Pouliot would describe him as a gentle, intellectual soul. For me, he was the man who taught a young girl what it meant to practice “old school” medicine. And that’s just what he did. His patients would wait for over an hour to see him because they knew they would get that equal, quality time for themselves. He was thorough, thoughtful, and cared to talk about not only his patients but their families, and he might have thrown in how well he had golfed the weekend prior to their visit.
His nurses, medical assistants and front desk staff knew that he liked his instant coffee with a splash of milk every morning, toast with anything but grape jelly, Fish Dinner special on Fridays for lunch and we also knew that if he agreed to see a patient at the end of the day, we were going to be at the office after hours.
Like any OB/GYN doctor, he saved the lives of many babies and mothers during the process of childbirth.
Dr. Pouliot will leave us with an everlasting remembrance of how compassionate doctors can be with their patients.
He leaves behind a legacy of years dedicated to child bearing women, women pre and post menopausal, and impacted the lives of all of them.
Dr. Pouliot, I am honored to say I was your nurse, you will be truly, incredibly missed.
Forever Hanover OB 🫶🏼”
