After last week’s burst water pipe, our team is working to assess any damage and determine a timeline for necessary repairs.

South Shore Medical Center Quincy will remain closed to all patients until further notice.

All patients with affected appointments have been notified by our team and will be accommodated at other area South Shore Medical Center practices (Norwell and Weymouth) to ensure they receive the care they need.

If you’re unsure of the status of your appointment, please contact us at 781-878-5200.

We will provide further updates as they become available, including the date we plan to reopen the Quincy practice.

As a reminder, patients with active lab orders can visit any South Shore Medical Center or Women's Center lab for convenient access to the services they need.

Lab services are available in Quincy, Weymouth, Norwell, Whitman, Kingston, and Plymouth.

Recovery operations continue at South Shore Medical Center Quincy after Friday's burst water pipe.

Our Quincy practice will remain closed to all patients on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.

We plan to reopen for select appointments on Wednesday, October 29.

All patients with affected appointments have been notified by our team.

Due to a burst water pipe in our building, South Shore Medical Center Quincy will be closed on Friday, October 24.

All patients with appointments at SSMC Quincy today have been notified and relocated to other SSMC locations to receive the care they need.

Our team is currently assessing the situation and will provide further updates as needed.

Happy Medical Assistants Recognition Week to all of our wonderful medical assistants!

Our MAs work at sites across South Shore Medical Center, The Women's Center of South Shore Medical Center, and the South Shore Health Center for Wound Healing.

MAs play an active role in patient care, from taking medical histories or vital signs to assisting with examinations.

Our MAs also help our practices run smoothly by assisting with a variety of administrative tasks.

While not all of our MAs are pictured here, we appreciate every member of our hard-working team – thank you for all that you do!

In case you missed it, there's a new South Shore Health MyChart feature that gives South Shore Medical Center patients another option for quality care: appointment scheduling with Health Express!

While we make every effort to accommodate patients with same-day needs, there will be times when all of our urgent care appointment slots are full.

In those cases, patients scheduling through MyChart will now have the option to schedule a same-day urgent care appointment at Health Express, part of South Shore Health.

Patients will be able to choose their appointment time, Health Express location, and complete most pre-visit paperwork via MyChart, saving time upon arrival.

❗We will continue to support our patients by offering as many same-day appointments at South Shore Medical Center as possible, but Health Express remains a great option as well. ❗

As a reminder, Health Express now uses the same medical records platform as South Shore Medical Center, meaning any notes or results from your Health Express visit will automatically carry over to your South Shore Medical Center record.
