So it turns out that expression "wherever you go, there you are" is real 🤔😬😬

Quick question: Did you know that gratitude & wellness go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly? 🤔

True. Story.

So there's no better way to celebrate national PB&J day by talking about the importance of gratitude.

One common point of confusion about gratitude is that it is the same thing as toxic positivity - ignoring all the yuck and only focusing on the good stuff. Well, that's not true.

Gratitude is the practice of noticing things in your life you enjoy or appreciate. 🙏

You don't ignore the negative. You don't try to wax over it with some kind of happy thought. You still let yourself notice & feel whatever comes to mind.

AND you also notice the good in the situation or day.

The way you speak to yourself MATTERS.

Your beautiful, magical brain is always listening and taking in information. But, it gets tired, mama!!

In order to make your life simpler, your brain will listen for repeat patterns and use them as 'rules' to make life simpler. That means, if you are constantly telling yourself "I can't do this" then you will find that the shortcut your brain creates is not even trying.

Yes. YOU hold that power.

Instead of using that power to tear yourself down, why not use it to build yourself up? It's never too late to start.
