Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there are many new office protocols in place for the safety of our patients and staff.
All people entering the office are required to wear a face mask or cloth face covering that fully covers the nose and mouth. No exceptions.
Immediately upon entering the office everyone will be instructed to use provided hand sanitizer.
Patients, visitors and staff will also go through a screening for symptoms of Covid-19. This may include a touchless infrared temperature check.
Please do not come to the office if you feel sick, are coughing or sneezing for any reason, if anyone in your household is sick, or if you now have, or have had in the last 14 days, any of the following symptoms:
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fever
Chills
Muscle pain
Sore throat
New loss of taste or smell
Patients will be asked to enter the office alone. If you need special assistance it is OK to have one person enter to help you. And, of course, minor aged children may be accompanied by one parent or guardian.
You may be asked to wait in your car as we will try to limit the number of people in the office at any given time. If you arrive to find the door locked please call 336-2020 to let us know that you have arrived. If you don’t have a mobile phone, please knock.
While in the office, efforts will be made to maintain a safe, 6 foot social distance whenever possible.
At this time we are not able to accommodate patients who require the use of supplemental oxygen while in the office. If you require full time oxygen and have an essential need for an in-office visit, please let us know, and we may be able to schedule a visit for you outside standard office hours.
Chenango Vision Center has instituted multiple new cleaning and sanitizing protocols for your safety and ours. All federal CDC and local guidelines will be strictly adhered to in order to help mitigate the risk of the spread of infection.
There are new cleaning and sanitizing procedures in place for examination equipment, as well as, for the entire office environment.
Eyeglass frames are all cleaned and disinfected after being handled by anyone.
We are still able to offer replacement contact lenses shipped directly to your home. We will also offer the option of “curbside” delivery in the parking lot.
We are also able to deliver newly purchased, or adjusted or repaired glasses to you “curbside” in the parking lot.
It would be helpful for all patients to bring their own pen in case you need to write a check or sign a consent form. We are happy to take credit card info by phone to make payments “contact free”.
Due to the nature of placing a new wearer in contact lenses (handling, fluids, face to face interaction with trainer and number of visits to the office) new contact lens fittings will temporarily be suspended.
