🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

We have been made aware of an active scam call where a caller is posing as a Norwich Police Officer, using the name Officer Patrick Daley, badge #50239.

The caller claims there is a Homeland Security breach, that your identity has been stolen, and that it is being used to purchase fentanyl. The scammer was able to spoof our department’s phone number, making the call appear legitimate.

If you receive a call like this:

-Hang up immediately
-Do not provide any personal or financial information

If you’re unsure, call the Norwich Police Department directly using the number listed on our website.

Please share this to help keep our community informed and safe - especially friends, family members, or neighbors who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.

Each week, we will post inspiration to help guide your 50 Acts of Kindness and 50 Reflections of Gratitude.

Acts of kindness can be anything, no matter how small, that brings a piece of goodness to your community. This could be holding a door open, smiling at someone, or picking up a piece of trash. A reflection of gratitude could be making a list of things you’re thankful for, journaling about a meaningful experience, or writing a letter of appreciation to someone. Be it a journal, a letter, a poem or a meditative moment of silence – how you express gratitude is up to you! The intention is simple: to take a moment to reflect on something good, no matter how big or small.
