In addition to providing care at our around-the-clock sites, clearing our walkways and driveways, and ensuring our community members fared well through the storm, we spent the day listening to and providing testimony for the State of Connecticut Appropriations Committee. We appreciate the advocacy from The Alliance: The Voice of Community Nonprofits and our staff who provided spoken and written testimony! 🩷

Our offices at 2 Cliff Street and 40 Broadway will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, to support post-blizzard cleanup and to encourage our eligible employees to provide relief at our Residential Homes.
We are deeply grateful to the many staff who have provided coverage throughout the storm. Thank you! 🩷

If you're interested in the State's budget process, you can watch this morning's Appropriations Committee livestream. Of interest to Reliance Health is the testimony provided by the Commissioners of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services and Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
If the blizzard doesn't knock out power, we'll be taking part in the Public Testimony starting at 2pm.

Based on the Office of Governor Ned Lamont’s Winter Storm News Brief, our offices at 2 Cliff Street and 40 Broadway in Norwich will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23, 2026, as the storm passes through the state. Our homes will continue to provide support and care around the clock thanks to the dedication and planfulness of our employees.
Please be safe and check on your neighbors as this storm impacts our community. We will post updates as needed.
