Norwood-Needham Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic looking for a motivated and energetic physical therapy aide to support our physical therapists. Our mission is to ensure that our patients achieve their individual functional and sports goals in safe and supportive environment. We offer patients comprehensive care in a patient-focused, welcoming environment.
Our team of highly skilled, exceptionally trained physical therapists and therapy aides is expanding! We have an immediate opening for a part-time physical therapy aide, with the opportunity to become full-time with full benefits. A background in exercise science, athletic training, or personal training is preferred, however strong candidates with a passion for this field who are looking to learn on the job are welcome to apply.
You will be a crucial component of the physical therapy team by helping physical therapists deliver quality care to their patients. In this role, you will be assisting with patient intakes, preparing equipment and treatment areas, and assisting with patient exercises, as instructed by the physical therapist.
What You'll Do:
Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Help treat patients by applying heat and ice packs; helping patients onto exercise equipment; guiding patients through prescribed exercise programs under direct supervision of the physical therapist.
Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
Maintain safe and clean work area by providing general cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of treatment room.
Work at the reception desk to greet patients, schedule treatments, and coordinate the therapist's schedules.
Physical Therapy Aide Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for a great addition to our team! Successful candidates will have strong patient management skills, demonstrating excellent verbal communications, strong listening skills, empathy, patience, and a positive demeanor. Prioritization of safety and confidentiality through the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and managing the privacy of patient information is a must. We are seeking someone with a team-player approach with the ability to multi-task. We have two locations, and you will need to be in both Norwood and Needham (but mainly Needham) – our offices focus on the delivery of a safe and educational experience in a high energy environment.
