Our Day Program at Our Lady of Fatima put together a fun activity for the men and women. Each group was given a map with a list of items to find for a beach themed scavenger hunt. Everyone had such a fun time working together as a team during this activity!

Within The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence, we provide a program that allows our individuals to have the opportunity to travel and go on a relaxing vacation. The Special Trips Program recently went on a cruise to explore Bermuda. During their vacation, they attended fun activities on the cruise ship (game shows and dancing) and explored Horseshoe Bay Beach!

This week, we celebrated the Spring 2025 Challenger League athletes at the end of the season banquet dinner. In celebration for this wonderful season, each player was celebrated with a gold medal. During the ceremony, the Gula Family recognized two students from Cardinal O’Hara High School highlighting their support and dedication throughout this season. This annual tradition truly brings so much happiness to the men and women at The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence. We are so grateful for the Gula Family for chairing the Challenger League.

We would like to wish Sam a rewarding and relaxing time of retirement. Sam’s hard work and compassion over the years at the Fatima Day Program has truly inspired our community. Throughout Sam’s time of service, he experienced personal growth and opportunities for enhancing life skills. In celebration of this milestone, Don Guanella Village hosted a party for Sam. Over the last couple of weeks, the men and women from The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence have learned about flowers, attended an art class, danced to their favorite songs, explored the zoo and aquarium, and cheered on the Phillies at a baseball game. We value the importance of individuality and the opportunity to experience enriching adventures within the community.

Divine Providence Village has opened the pool for the season! The ladies attended the annual tradition of blessing the pool.

“Bless this swimming pool and all who use it. Keep us safe and healthy as we enjoy this refreshing water. Bless our lifeguards who guard the precious gift God has given us, the gift of life. Please watch over them and keep them in your loving care.”

Last week we wrapped up a fun and rewarding season of the Challenger League. Each of our players was recognized with personalized MVP awards for the countless home runs and teamwork during the games. Our men and women truly look forward to attending the weekly games. Thank you, Cardinal O’Hara High School and Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast High School, for showing your support at the games. We are already looking forward to the next season!
