Yesterday’s Novato State of the City Address was powerful. So many inspiring initiatives are underway in our community, and our partnership with the City continues to grow stronger.

Special thanks to the City of Novato - City Government and Novato Chamber for this important annual update. NMCS was proud to be represented by our CEO, CFO and several board members. We truly live in a special community. One that cares deeply about the health and wellness of our residents.

Last Friday, our staff, board members, and volunteers rang in the New Year together in style. From music, dancing, games, and raffle excitement to great conversations, delicious food, and plenty of laughter, it was a joyful and elegant night celebrating the incredible people who make NMCS so special. 💛🖤
Moments like this remind us how powerful connection and camaraderie are—and how much we can accomplish together as one NMCS community as we look ahead to 2026.

Special thanks to for the flowers and for the delicious candy!

Thank you to the YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley for recognizing and uplifting women’s leadership. At tonight’s Marin Women’s Hall of Fame, we were surrounded by so many inspiring leaders, including the 2026 inductees: Loulie H. Sutro, Lynn Murphy, Nancy Johnson, Nancy Thelen Rehkopf, and Virginia Schultz. The evening brought together Hall of Fame honorees, NMCS leadership, and community members to celebrate the impact of women leading across sectors. Honoring women’s leadership is about celebrating a diverse sisterhood, women supporting one another, standing together, and continuing to move the needle forward for all women.

This year we worked with Levelingupwith Michelle G Whiteside who taught a series of her “Meet the Future You” classes (16 total classes) to our middle school students. The classes focused on building self-esteem, developing a growth mindset, and strengthening their social-emotional skills!
