NMCS board members and leadership came together last night for our April 1 Board Meeting. We shared program, financial, and fundraising highlights—and took time to enjoy the creative progress of our Welcoming Spaces Project through our 680 Wilson Ave Center.

We also celebrated April birthdays 🎉 Happy birthday to (left to right): Dr. Gina Fromer, Vanshika Nachnani, Karen Dillon Gifford, and Tony Clark!

A warm welcome to new NMCS board member Jeremy Yu, and welcome back to returning member Karen Gifford. We’re grateful for the leadership and partnership of this incredible group.

We are so incredibly thankful for Rotary Club of Novato's generous gift of perishable and non-perishable food for Easter which we distributed at today's food pantry. Additional thanks to for donating 250 canvas grocery bags. Program participants were so appreciative of this extra food for the holiday. Our food pantry serves more than 250+ families in our community each Tuesday.

It’s Tsunami Preparedness Week!
Do you live, work or play on the coast? Potential tsunami impact areas include beaches and coastal communities. Marin County surroundings included.
In the event of a potential tsunami, caused by something like an earthquake, local authorities may issue alerts (watch, advisory, warnings) that encourage residents to seek higher ground. In the event of a tsunami, some alerts will be official, others will be natural. Both are equally important. Learn how to prepare for a tsunami at ReadyMarin.org

Sometimes the good things in life are simple. 💛This week, as participants arrived at the food pantry, one of our volunteers asked a simple question:
“In one sentence, what’s something good that happened to you this week?”
Each slide in this video shares one voice from our community — reminders that even in challenging times, there is still gratitude, resilience, and hope.
Food pantries are about more than food. They’re about support, dignity, and community — making sure our neighbors have what they need so those good moments can keep happening.
