Our final Port of Call for the week was Alaska. We had a great time learning about the creatures that roam Alaska's wilderness and the activities that are the most popular to do in Alaska. We went to Red Lobster for a delicious lunch, then came back and did a little fishing. In the evening we watched the Aurora as we sipped on wine.

Our first Port of Call on Monday for our Cruise Theme Week was Mexico. We learned about the culture of Mexico, foods, and traditional attire worn there. In the morning we exercised to salsa music. For our outing we traveled to Alchile Mexican Grill & Bar, Novi for lunch. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! In the evening we served Margaritas and watched a movie. A special thanks to Mabel, Miriam and Blanca from out dining department for helping with our photo booth and letting us borrow authentic sombreros and serapes!

What a beautiful day we had at Seven Lakes State Park on Friday. We met up with a few of our sister campuses for a day of fun, laughter, bubbles, great food, and great conversation. We put our toes in the sand, sat by the lake, played games and blew bubbles. A wonderful day was had by all!!

What a spectacular, lovely, calming movie experience we had today! A huge thank you to Emagine Theatres Novi for their dementia friendly movie experience! This experience is for persons living with Brian challenges, not just dementia. Lights remain on but dim throughout the show, and the sound is turned down so as not to startle people who are sensitive to loud sounds. Our residents truly enjoyed it!
