Fall is here and unfortunately all the nasty seasonal viruses are here, too. Here’s a simple flow chart to help you determine when your child needs to stay home from school. Most kids with a cold or stomach bug will recover on their own with some extra rest and fluids and do not need to be seen by a doctor, but you should call your pediatrician right away if your child has difficulty breathing, blue lips or nails, extreme fatigue, or is showing signs of dehydration.
