Gum disease and cavities aren’t the same. Gum disease occurs below the gum line, while cavities happen above it. Just because you’re prone to cavities doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get gum disease. Remember: flossing helps prevent gum disease, and proper brushing helps prevent cavities!
