Healing In Motion, PLLC

Healing In Motion, PLLC At Healing In Motion, you have the opportunity to get treated as a "whole" person not just a body part or diagnosis! It is a form developed by John F.

We understand your health, time and money are valuable and precious. Which is why we offer outstanding treatment managed by YOU! We use “hands on techniques” that can be subtle or deep reaching. With gentle sustained pressure to surface areas of the body or the leverage of the arm or leg to gently change the attitude of the muscles. With one technique not standing alone but flows from one area to the next with feedback given by the individual receiving treatment. Nothing is ever “forced” or intentionally painful. People do report feeling deep muscle releases without experiencing deep pain in the process. The only way to really know it to experience it. Our myofascial release is not like that taught in PT or massage therapy school. Barnes PT, LMT, NCTMB whom has taken the concept of tissue mobility and transformed it into a modality that young or old, broken or healing can benefit from immediately.

We continue to provide myofascial release. BUT! adding the modality of Radial Pressure Wave Therapy. This addition will help with the very stubborn treatment areas.

What is Radial Pressure Wave Therapy?

Radial Pressure waves are acoustic waves that generate oscillations in the tissue. The wave hits the body at skin surface and from there travels radially into the body to a depth of around 2 inches.

Chattanooga's Intelect Mobile 2 RPW can:
• Reduce muscle pain and aches
• Temporarily increase blood flow
• Activate connective tissue

Healing In Motion is CLOSING for the remainder of March.

Healing in Motion has remained open during the COVID-19 Pandemic, exercising our standard precautions of handwashing, changing sheets, and wiping down surfaces and using gloves when appropriate. As a therapist, we do not come to work and treat patients when we do not feel well as we value the health and safety of our patients.

In addition to our usual practices, we have added wiping down all surface areas that are touched or might be touched between each and every patient visit. We have expanded our cleaning into the common waiting area as well. This has always been addressed by the cleaning crew of the building, but they are not present during the day.

As a business owner in the face of this pandemic, I am confronted with a very difficult decision: remain open, or close for the remainder of March. Oakland, Wayne, and Washtenaw County have confirmed cases of COVID-19, with surrounding counties reporting cases as well.

There is a lot of misinformation out there. But there is no denying that taking steps to limit exposure is the most effective way to limit the spread of COVID-19. It is with a heavy heart that I will be closing Healing In Motion until April 1st. At that time, opening or extending the closure will be re-evaluated.

Upon reopening we ask that if you have done any travel, domestic or abroad, or have been in large groups of people, that you extend your return an additional two weeks after that travel or event occurred in order to keep everyone safe.

Feeling blocked with it comes to starting an exercise habit? You can actually get the health benefits of exercise with just 22 minutes of exercise a day — and you might be surprised what "counts" as exercise. Kiss your excuses goodbye!
