Healing In Motion is CLOSING for the remainder of March.
Healing in Motion has remained open during the COVID-19 Pandemic, exercising our standard precautions of handwashing, changing sheets, and wiping down surfaces and using gloves when appropriate. As a therapist, we do not come to work and treat patients when we do not feel well as we value the health and safety of our patients.
In addition to our usual practices, we have added wiping down all surface areas that are touched or might be touched between each and every patient visit. We have expanded our cleaning into the common waiting area as well. This has always been addressed by the cleaning crew of the building, but they are not present during the day.
As a business owner in the face of this pandemic, I am confronted with a very difficult decision: remain open, or close for the remainder of March. Oakland, Wayne, and Washtenaw County have confirmed cases of COVID-19, with surrounding counties reporting cases as well.
There is a lot of misinformation out there. But there is no denying that taking steps to limit exposure is the most effective way to limit the spread of COVID-19. It is with a heavy heart that I will be closing Healing In Motion until April 1st. At that time, opening or extending the closure will be re-evaluated.
Upon reopening we ask that if you have done any travel, domestic or abroad, or have been in large groups of people, that you extend your return an additional two weeks after that travel or event occurred in order to keep everyone safe.
