The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders and possess a passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders
• Develop and implement patient centered treatment plans
• Facilitate the delivery of appropriate patient care in collaboration with other health professionals, including neurosurgeons, radiologists and physical therapists
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, MRIs and CT scans
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Monitors and evaluates patients responses to treatment plans
• Promotes professional development through independent study and by attending education programs to increase knowledge base and maintain professional certification

Qualifications and Skills:
• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Completed neurology residency
• Board certified in neurology with 3+ years of experience
• Possess a valid State of Michigan medical license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Stephen Hofmeister to our MHSI family!

Dr. Hofmeister graduated from Michigan State University and received his medical degree from the University of Pikeville in Kentucky. He then completed internship at Wayne State University in Internal Medicine followed by residency at Wayne State University in Department of Anesthesiology and finished with fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Pain Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Mehra, a board certified and spine fellowship trained neurosurgeon, has demonstrated a commitment to the practice of surgery, surgical teaching, authorship of professional papers and participation in local, state and national organizations. The designation was conferred to Dr. Mehra during a ceremonial hooding in Chicago, IL amongst his mentors, peers, students, family and friends.
