The end of summer often brings out the tissues for tearing eyes and runny noses, but not because fun in the sun is coming to a close. 🤧

For many Michiganders, ragweed pollen is the real culprit. Ragweed season typically peaks from mid-August through October, and it’s one of the most common triggers of allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

Sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, and scratchy throats are all too familiar this time of year. The tricky part? Ragweed pollen travels easily on the wind, which means even if it’s not growing in your yard, you can still feel the effects.

A few quick tips to ease symptoms:
🌿 Track daily pollen counts and limit outdoor time during peak hours (early morning and evening).
🌿 Keep windows closed and shower after being outside to wash pollen off skin and hair.
