We are proud to announce our first brand new ambulance was officially placed in service at 8pm on Friday September 19th!

Medic 716 is a 2024 Ford Transit 350 AWD high roof by Medix Specialty Vehicles. It is fully ALS equipped including a Stryker Power Load system with power stretcher. With its all wheel drive, it is better equipped to respond in our harsh winter weather. The higher roof makes patient and crew member comfort and space a priority.

We send our thanks and appreciation to the Town of Nutter Fort for their continued support, Atlantic Emergency Solutions and FUBAR Enterprises for the upfitting, our salesman Joe Engelhardt, Penn Care sales representative Chris Lucas for assisting us with all of the equipment needed, and Auto Trim FX for the striping and lettering.

A near identical twin is also on order to replace Medic 717 that is slated for a late fall 2025 delivery.

We are hosting a hybrid C3-IFT course! There are pre-course assignments online that must be completed before class on 10/17

Empty bays mean a busy day. Tanker 7 is currently about to clear a Structure Fire on Sinsel Hollow Road in Flemington, Taylor County, while Squad 7 is operating on a 2-Alarm Commericial Building Fire in downtown Bridgeport as our EMS crews have handled multiple first due and mutual aid calls today. Personnel are still staffing the station as our other crews are committed.

As 2025 begins, we look back on our most successful year as an EMS agency. We assisted multiple agencies and handled multiple types of calls while overcoming numerous obstacles. We began participation in a new Push Dose Epi Pilot Protocol and whole blood administration training in the event we need to assist our mutual aid partners Harrison County EMS. Here are our statistics for 2024:

911 calls: 1,186
ALS transports: 124
BLS transports: 1,939

Total calls: 3,244

We couldn’t do any of this without the dedication of our field clinicians and support from the Town of Nutter Fort.
