- Control their attention
- Manage difficult emotions like anxiety and depression
- Filter out judgements and assumptions
- Reduce avoidance
- Get unstuck from thoughts
- Cope with issues of self-worth
- Unhook from with intrusive thoughts
- Work on self-harm behaviors/emotional dependencies like va**ng and disordered eating
- Improve communication and make better decisions
