I’m Yudy Veras Bueno, A Transformational Coach, a Spiritual & Emotional Guide, and best-selling author of The Becoming of A Light Warrior: A Practical Guide to Emotional Breakthrough. You are an emotional and spiritual guide? How does that even work, is this a religious thing? How are you different from a regular therapist or a “healer”? These are great questions - I like you already! My approach

is different because I combine both, a modern scientific approaches and principles to emotional healing such as, neurolinguistic, neuro-associations, brain plasticity, and positive psychology, with a more holistic and powerful approach of natural and intuitive healing techniques of ancient wisdom, such as shamanic healing, sound therapy, reflective guided meditation, mindfulness, Reiki, and simple breathing techniques. This combination of proven scientific methods and ancient wisdom creates a unique symbiosis for a more complete holistic approach to emotional healing. I know… Maybe you were looking for a more simple answer. In simple terms, I have great love and respect for science, this was one of the reasons I spent almost 20 years of my life in Pharma, training, doing investigations, auditing, which really opened me up to a greater understanding of human behavior, and how people act under extremely stressful situations. Yes, I’m a Certified NAP and NLP Practitioner (Neuro Associative Programming and Neuro-Linguistic Programming), a Certified Reiki Master, and Mindfulness Coach. And, I do have a BS in organizational management for understanding group dynamics, behavior, and diversity, which helps a lot, but there’s nothing like a real-life experience. For instance, my dad was a shaman, a healer, a medicine man, as early as seven years of age, I saw him doing amazing healings using some form of the very same ancient healing practices that I mentioned. And, so I was very curious on how he was able to do such things, even when actual doctors gave up on the person. One thing became very clear to me, there is no one thing that will work. We must try different ways and not give up. Also, the fact that I come from the Dominican Republic, and as an immigrant, I was able to understand that when we are willing to put in the effort, we can create amazing results. In my case, coming to this country meant that I have to give up my very familiar life, my friends, my comfortable job, my language, partially at least, to adapt to new ways of living, thinking, acting, and even behaving. So, that tells me that if you really want something, whatever it is, you can do it, and the only person stopping you right now, is YOU!

Happy Birthday to the man who’s been next to me for 31 years. 🎂

Thirty-one.

That’s a whole lifetime of memories… some beautiful, some messy, some we laugh about now because we survived them.

We were so young when we started. We didn’t know what we were doing. We just kept choosing each other.

Through the tired days.
Through the stubborn moments.
Through the “we’ll figure it out” seasons.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, we built a family. A home. A life.

It hasn’t been perfect — but it’s been real.

Thank you for standing by me.
Thank you for working hard for us.
And thank you for treating me like a queen… even on my not-so-queen days. 👑

31 years with you — some grumpy days, lots of “Jonass” moments (often 😅), and somehow we’re still laughing through it all.

Yes, you get on my nerves sometimes.
Yes, “Jonass” shows up more than he should.
But you always have my back, and we laugh together — and that’s what really matters.

And let’s be honest… we’re looking super cute 🥰

Love this time of year.
It always gives me a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect on the beautiful memories that have carried me to today.

These ornaments hold so much of our story…
Amanda made this cat out of a wooden spoon when she was just six ✨ — and now she’s all grown up.
Chris created this Rudolph when he was four 4️⃣🦌 — and now he’s a young man.
And this Santa that says “Feliz Navidad” was one of our first ornaments when Jonas and I got married on December 17th — that was 30 years ago.
And here he is, still shining on our tree, carrying decades of love.
And what about Ruffus’ ornament… don’t you just love it!? 🐾❤️

As I look at these memories, I’m reminded that time is truly the greatest gift.
For many, time equals money… but for me, time equals lived experiences — the moments we share, the people we love, the stories we build.

So many years have passed, and yet somehow… it feels like no time at all.
Just love, growing and circling back, season after season.

Here’s to honoring the magic in our memories — and choosing to spend our time on what truly matters. 🎄💛
