The City of O'Fallon is excited to reintroduce single-stream recycling through a new pilot program set to begin on March 4th, 2025. To start, the program will be available to residents on the south side of town who currently have recycling pick-up on Tuesdays. Over the next few months, the City plans to expand the program to include more residents. For those who have not yet been added to the program, recycling guidelines will remain the same for the time being, with the accepted items staying consistent with current practices.

Residents on the south side with Tuesday pick-up should expect to receive a postcard in the mail soon, detailing the program and informing them about the arrival of their new recycling cart. To stay informed on the progress of the pilot program, residents are encouraged to follow the City of O'Fallon on social media and subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter. For those who are part of the new program, the welcome letter, FAQs, and additional resources about single-stream recycling will be made available. As more residents are gradually included in the program, they will receive this helpful information and find it on our website.
