As EMS Week comes to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors and community partners who helped make our Open House such a success!

We are incredibly grateful for the support from HSHS, O’Fallon Parks & Recreation, O’Fallon Fire Department, O’Fallon Police Department, O’Fallon YMCA, Gators Frozen Custard, Air Evac Lifeteam 156, Animal Emergency Center of Collinsville, and the Shiloh Police Department K9 Units with K9 Damu and K9 Esco.

Thank you for helping us create a fun, educational, and memorable event for our community. We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces come out to support EMS Week and learn more about what we do.

In this new role, Nick will provide leadership in EMS operations while overseeing the department’s training and professional development programs. As a key member of our EMS command staff, he will play an important role in helping guide the future of our organization.

Congratulations to O'Fallon EMS Supervisor Patrick Lenz for graduating from this year's ASM program

The Ambulance Service Manager program is a certification course designed to immerse participants in an engaging learning environment with a focus on growing future EMS leaders.

The course begins with students completing coursework and participating in discussions online in preparation for the in-person sessions. The attendees come together for six days of in-person, experiential learning, followed by several weeks of continued online discussions and group project work before the program culminates in another six-day in-person session. Case studies are used frequently throughout the course, providing real-world applications of the theories and allowing participants to work together to make decisions faced by EMS managers every day.

Tonight we remember and honor Elsa, a truly beautiful soul who showed more strength than most of us could ever imagine. For years, she fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, facing every challenge with incredible bravery, grace, and determination.

Despite everything she endured, Elsa remained full of joy, love, and light. She had a way of lifting others up, reminding everyone around her what it means to be strong, kind, and resilient. Her spirit never wavered, even in the hardest moments.

Elsa also holds a special place in our community through her family. Her father, who served as a paramedic in our city, has spent his life helping others in their most difficult times, and now our hearts are with him and their entire family as they face this unimaginable loss.

There are no words that can truly ease this pain, but we can honor Elsa by remembering her strength, her smile, and the love she shared so freely. She fought so hard, and she will never be forgotten.

Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Elsa. Your fight, your strength, and your light will live on in all of us. 🧡

As we reflect on the past year, we are incredibly grateful for the continued support and trust from our community. It’s been a year filled with teamwork, dedication, and service, and we are proud to serve such an amazing area. Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as Paramedic Mickey Wrigley works her final shift and begins a well-earned retirement. With 30 years of service in EMS, including 8 years with O’Fallon EMS, her dedication, compassion, and professionalism have left a lasting legacy.

This evening we gathered for a final crew supper alongside her family, coworkers, and friends to celebrate an amazing career and to say thank you for everything she has given to this profession. Congratulations on your retirement, you will truly be missed, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter. 🚑💙
