In just a few weeks, I will be heading to Honduras to serve a wonderful community that our church partners with. While we are there we will get to do medical clinics and eye clinics. The community we serve is in a very remote area. There is no easy access to doctors, pharmacists, or optometrists. I have needed glasses/contacts since age 11. I know how frustrated I get during the few minutes in the morning before I put on my glasses at having to blurrily (that should be a word) fumble around. I cannot imagine dealing with that all the time. So this verse felt very fitting for my trip. The 2 men saying this are blind. They have sought out Jesus for healing. The crowds around them warned them to leave Jesus alone. They weren’t important enough. They were a nuisance. But Jesus asked what they hoped for from him and their response was to be able to see. Jesus has compassion on them, touched them, and healed them. I’m lucky enough that I don’t have to beg to have physical sight. But regularly I beg God for clear vision about my next steps, about the world around me, about the people I encounter, and about what God wants me to see that I’m totally missing.
All the sales I make from these 2 prints will go directly toward paying for my trip. If you decide to purchase one (first of all, thank you so very much!) I hope you will commit to praying that God would open your eyes to see. And also that you would pray for my Honduran brothers and sisters. Thank you! https://etsy.me/2R4l358 https://etsy.me/2Tfv9mm
