There is absolutely nothing better than the look of admiration between couples. The transformation process of birth not only from individual to mom and dad but from a partnership to parents. She provided us with the knowledge, support, and care we needed to feel empowered and safe during birth, which was my main goal after a somewhat traumatic first birth. I was hoping to find support that was steady and calm while also feeling warm and encouraging, and Erin did an incredible job of providing that. I felt that I had someone with me who respected my hopes and could advocate for me when I wasn’t able to. My son was in a somewhat suboptimal position during labor, and Erin worked with the rest of my birth team to use positioning during pushing to adjust his position. This mama was laboring so powerfully as she walked around her property. Getting outside and changing up the laboring space is one of my favorite tools during a long labor. The wind and sunshine and singing of birds in the distance is so rejuvenating for your soul. I just love the wildflower her partner picked and put in the TENS unit lanyard ❤️

Did you know that you can lower the blue drape in the OR during a cesarean? It’s such a beautiful moment to finally meet your baby. They typically hold baby for you here for 60 seconds of delayed cord clamping then cut the cord and bring them to the warmer for evaluation. Then they’re on your skin for the remainder for the surgical repairs.

Offering professional birth photography has been on my mind for many years now. I am so excited to announce I have taken the first steps to achieve this dream! I have so much to learn and will be enrolled in the course to help me through the process.

As I start to dip my toes in and move from taking iPhone pictures to professional pictures (and learning post production, what I’m most nervous about). I’ll be looking for a handful of “student births” with doula clients. DM me if you are interested in more information. I’m so excited to share this journey with you!

This mama is powerfully working and moving through contractions in early labor. Low lights, nutrient dense foods, hydration, in the safety of her bedroom; These are the moments that bring such joy to birth work. I have the honor to witness people find their power in birth.
