Last weekend, City Council members Bryan Stucky and Eric Marshall joined the action at City Beach Park, playing ball with the Oak Harbor Basketball League during their summer tournament. 👏

The Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor was proud to be there showing our support — cheering on the players, celebrating community spirit, and enjoying a great day of basketball. 💙

📚🍎 Welcome back, Club kids! Yesterday was the first day of the new school year, and we kicked things off by gathering in their homerooms. Each group worked together to create their own Group Agreements — a set of promises about how they’ll treat each other and make the Club a great place to be this year. 💙

We’re so excited to see what this school year brings and to watch our kids grow, learn, and thrive together! 🌟

This Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Oak Harbor Boys & Girls Club, we’re hosting a FREE Back-to-School Hairstyles & Haircut Event! 💇🏾‍♀️💇🏻‍♂️ Families are invited to bring their kids to get fresh cuts and styles so they can head into the school year looking and feeling their best. ✨✏️📚

A huge thank you goes out to the amazing stylists and barbers who are volunteering their time and talent, as well as to Miss Mimi and Dean D’Avilar for making this event possible. 🙏💖

I’m also excited for the City Beach Basketball Tournament happening Saturday 🏀🌊—a weekend full of community, fun, and blessings.

✨ What an amazing day! The Gaming for Good: Mario Kart World Tournament was a huge success — we had a fantastic turnout, lots of laughs, and some seriously speedy racers! 🎮💨 Everyone had such a wonderful time, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

A special thank you to Oak Harbor Cinemas for generously hosting this event and helping raise funds to support the kids at our Club. 💙🙌

📅 The Club will be closed this Thursday, August 28th through Tuesday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day weekend, as well as to prepare for the upcoming school year. We wish all of our families a fun and safe holiday!

📝 Registration for the 2025–2026 Before & After School Care Programs is now open!

Military families: complete both the Parent Portal and Military link here: https://www.bgca.org/.../mil.../mission-youth-outreach-2025/ (registration fee covered for the year).
You’ll be placed on a waitlist until all forms are submitted, then removed once your registration is finalized.

Registration fees are waived if your child is covered by Amerigroup, Coordinated Care, United Healthcare, Community Health Plan, or Molina Healthcare.
