🎉 Field trip fun at Whidbey Island Comic Con! 🦸‍♂️🧙‍♀️🕹️

Today, our Club kids had an epic time visiting Whidbey Island Comic Con — and a huge THANK YOU goes out to Tossin’ Axes for inviting us to be part of the fun! 💙

Many of our campers came dressed as their favorite characters and got to explore all the creativity, fandom, and excitement that Comic Con has to offer. From costumes to comics, it was a day to remember!

We’re so grateful for community partners who help make these experiences possible. 💫

🥇 Let the games begin! 🏅

Today at the Club, our campers kicked off Olympics Week with some hands-on fun and a little inspiration! They watched a video all about the Olympic Games — and were especially amazed by the gymnastics performances! 🤸‍♀️✨

Afterward, they got creative and made their own Olympic torches, showing off their artistic skills and team spirit. 🔥🎨

We love seeing our kids get inspired, stay curious, and bring their own energy to everything they do!

💙 It’s been a fun and full week so far at the Club! 🙌

We’ve had an awesome mix of creativity, movement, and hands-on learning over the last few days — and our campers have been loving every minute of it!

🌿 Earlier this week, the kids took part in their essential oils class, where they learned about different blends and even made their own — complete with hand-decorated labels that showed off their personalities!

🧘‍♀️ Today, we were lucky to be joined by Mrs. Pat, who led a calming and energizing yoga session that helped everyone stretch, breathe, and relax.

🤖 And we wrapped things up with a visit from Mr. Logan Ince, who guided campers through one of their favorite activities — LEGO robotics! Building, coding, and creating… it doesn’t get much better than that!

We’re so thankful for our community partners and instructors who make these enriching experiences possible. Stay tuned — there's more fun to come!

💪 We're proud to bring Project Power to the Oak Harbor Boys & Girls Club! 🥦🏃‍♂️

In partnership with the American Diabetes Association, Project Power is a health promotion program designed for youth ages 5–12. Its goal? To slow the rise of childhood obesity and diabetes through education, movement, and fun.

Obesity affects 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. — and the risks can last a lifetime. But through Project Power, our members are gaining the tools they need to build healthier habits and brighter futures.

💡 What our campers are learning:
✅ The importance of physical activity
✅ How to make healthy food choices
✅ How to build confidence around movement, meals, and wellness
✅ Simple, lasting ways to drink more water, eat more fruits and veggies, and get active every day

We're so excited to be part of a program that's empowering kids to take charge of their health — and have a blast while doing it!

💼🧹Junior Staff in Training! 🎉

Today at the Club, our campers took charge — literally! They assigned themselves as Club staff members and showed up ready for their shifts with homemade name tags and even paper walkie talkies! 🗣️📻

They thought about the many ways they could be helpful, then picked roles that matched their strengths. Some decided to support our younger members by helping them play and solve small conflicts, while others took on jobs like trash patrol, toy pickup, and meal/snack cleanup.

We’re so proud of their initiative, teamwork, and sense of responsibility. The future staff of Boys & Girls Club is looking bright! ✨

🏖️ Sand, science, and so much fun! 🌋🎨

Today at the Club, our campers kept the beach theme going strong with two awesome hands-on projects!

🎨 First up, they created sandcastle artwork using glue, sand, and lots of imagination.
🧪 Then, it was time for some explosive fun with mini volcano experiments — a messy, fizzy way to explore science!

It’s all about learning through creativity and play, and today was the perfect mix of both!

Today our campers made beautiful sun catchers as part of our summer fun at the Club! With bright colors and creative designs, each one is ready to catch the light and bring a little extra sparkle to their day.

We love watching our kids express themselves through art — and these sun catchers were the perfect way to brighten things up! ✨

🏖️ Beach Week is in full swing — and today’s project was sweet, silly, and super fun! 🐻🍪

Our campers got creative making Beach Bear graham cracker snacks — complete with blue frosting waves, teddy grahams, and rainbow sour strip floaties! 🌊🐻🌈

It was the perfect treat to match the sunny beach vibes we’re celebrating this week. We love seeing our campers use their creativity (and enjoy a tasty reward too)!

We had an amazing time in the Independence Day Parade last Friday! 🎉

A big thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us on! Several of our awesome staff and club kids joined together to represent the Oak Harbor Boys & Girls Club, and we had a blast walking the route, passing out candy, and sharing info about the Club with our community. ❤️💙

Before the parade started, we had fun checking out the other floats and soaking in the festive energy — it was a day full of smiles, laughter, and great memories!

Thank you, Oak Harbor, for celebrating with us! 🎆

🌸 STEM meets nature at the Club! 🌈

Today, our campers turned into young scientists with a hands-on experiment using white flowers, colored water, and a whole lot of curiosity! 💧🌼

Each child chose a color and placed their flower in dyed water to see how plants “drink.” Tomorrow, they’ll return to see the results — colorful streaks in the petals showing how water travels through the stem! 🌺🔬

We love combining science and creativity to spark wonder in our kids — and this activity was the perfect mix of both.

Can’t wait to see those blooms tomorrow! 👀✨
