At Angells on Whidbey Adult Family Home, caregiving isn’t just a job, it’s a calling, and Destiny has been living that out with us for the past 6 years.

As our Manager, Destiny brings her whole heart to our home every single day, her dedication, organization, and attention to detail keep everything running smoothly, but it’s her warmth and love for our residents that really makes her shine. Whether she’s training new team members with patience and care, or taking time out of her day to dye a resident’s hair just to brighten their mood, Destiny does it all with love, and a smile😊

We’re beyond grateful to have her as part of our Angells on Whidbey family. 💙

Meet Kim: the Heart of Our Activities!

At Angell’s On Whidbey, we’re lucky to have Kim leading the way when it comes to fun, laughter, and connection. With her kind heart and quick wit, she brings a special spark to every day; whether it’s a lively game of Farkle, a round of trivia, or a creative craft session.

Kim isn’t just our Activities Director, she’s a friend, a cheerleader, and a joy to be around. From birthdays to holidays, she’s always up for a good time and knows how to make each moment count!

It’s our pleasure to announce that our very own Shaina was awarded Caregiver of the Year! Out of 5000 AFHs and around 30,000 employees her kind heart and passion for our residents won the hearts of family members and professionals across the state.

Shaina has been with us since December of 2020, she came into this field having no experience and has shown an incredible instincts, passion and kindness. In her words
“Being there for others is something that I’m very passionate about, entering this field and becoming a caregiver gives me an outlet to fulfill my passion in making a direct difference in the lives of those who really need it.”

She brings other passions into our home as well, she goes out of her way to curl our ladies hair or do fun art projects, tea time is a favorite with her!

When she’s not at work she keeps busy with making custom tea blends and making delicious foods. “In my free time I’m the Tea Lady, I like to curate custom tea blends for others, and I love to cook and eat! Exploring the cuisines of cultures around the world and locally is something that brings me a lot of joy in life”

Full time NOC shift (12am to 8am)caregiver, licensed or able to train and pass classes. Must be able to learn, laugh and show up for their shifts. Must be able to work independently with indirect oversight. This is a Family Home and we put a high emphasis on treating our staff and Residents as such. Must have or be able to learn

First Aid/CPR
Dementia and Mental Health specialty
Nurse Delegation

Training can be provided as needed

Must be able to pass a background check (no violent crimes)

Well behaved pets are welcome, no assaultive clients- minimal behaviors and supportive family members.

Once a month weekend rotation
time and a half for holidays
Holiday and random incentive bonuses
relaxed environment
Only 6 clients in the home, lots of 1-1 time with clients
Annual raises
Employee appreciation dinner and outings
Birthdays off with a bonus
Pay is $21/hr after 90 day probation period and all necessary certifications have been completed
