✨ CLOSING DAY CELEBRATION ✨

Almost 6 months ago, I was introduced to the wonderful Miss Nancy as a referral from a fellow agent all the way in California. Her longtime agent wasn’t about to hand her off to just anyone, and after a few interviews, I was given the honor of being her North Carolina Realtor.

What a journey it’s been!

Miss Nancy is one of the most inspiring women I’ve had the pleasure of working with, full of grace, strength, and unwavering faith. She is a true servant of the Lord and has become more than just a client, she feels like family.

Over the past several months, I’ve gotten to know not just Miss Nancy but her sister and extended family,of whom will also be making the big move from California. As Miss Nancy says, "North Carolina is definitely different from California"… and you know what? We're here for it! 🩵🌾

Let’s talk about it,
This week in Real Estate… 👀
This week, I had a seller tell me they were going with another agent because they were getting a huge discount.

And here’s the funny thing…
They know me personally.
They follow me.
They’ve seen the homes I sell, the way I market, and how I show up for my clients.

But they never interviewed me.
Never asked me to compete.
They only called me when they needed help searching for homes—early mornings, sending links, asking for info and feedback.

I was good enough to help with the work,
But not good enough to earn the listing?

And the agent they chose?
He owns the company.
So let’s ask the real question: is that “discount” really a discount?

Oh—and the only other time they contacted me?
To let me know they were offering a 3% buyer’s agent commission.

So let’s break this down:
If the listing agent is “discounting” his side, but you’re still offering 3% to the buyer’s agent…
📉 Where exactly is the savings coming from?
Because it sounds like you’re giving away all your leverage upfront—with nothing held back for negotiations or strategy.

Here’s what I know:
✅ I’m not the cheapest.
✅ But I’m not just here to stick a sign in the yard.
I’m here to get you the best net, the best terms, and the smoothest closing possible.

Sellers—don’t fall for the idea that cheaper means better.
Discount agents don’t cost less. They just do less.

I’m about to get really real for a second…

Over the weekend, I had a seller question my experience.
And I told them, “I’ve been in real estate for several years now.”

But let’s be honest , just saying how long you’ve had your license doesn’t mean much.
You can have a license for 10 years and close 1 deal a year. That’s not experience, that’s a hobby.

So I did a little digging to be better prepared next time someone asks.

In 2024, the average real estate agent in North Carolina closed less than 10 homes for the entire year.

Last year alone, I closed 42 transactions in Brunswick County that’s nearly one a week.
I helped 42 families make big moves, from first homes to forever homes, beach houses to baby-step-downs.

But this isn’t just about me. I say “we” because this is a team effort.
My amazing support system includes my broker, our in-house marketing pros, my trusted contractors, inspectors, and transaction coordinator my awesome photographers all working behind the scenes to help make your move smooth and successful.

When you’re hiring a real estate agent, the real question isn’t “how long have you been licensed?”
It’s “how many deals have you closed… and how recently?”
Because experience isn’t about time it’s about results.
