Cool Runnings Charters beckons you to join us and experience the delightful surroundings and superior saltwater fishing opportunities on the shores of Oak Island and Southport, NC. Your trip will be a safe secure one, led by Capt. Hughes who is US Coast Guard certified, and American Red Cross CPR, FIRST Aid as well. His business is fully insured and the boat is properly equipped. Greer Hughes show you the many twisted creeks, fascinating estuaries and dramatic fishing spots. Whether you’re the seasoned fisherman or a beginner, there are no worries either way. Children are more than welcome and invited to experience their first fish. Hughes is very patient and willing to teach. See Bald Head Island, Southport and Oak Island from the deck of Cool Runnings. Bring a friend, a smile and your camera and enjoy your Oak Island Fishing trip. All saltwater fishing will be done using light tackle, predominantly using live bait when in season. Fully equipped with artificial bait plugs, lures, jigs, soft and hard bait. Target Fish:
Flounder, Drum (Red and Black), Trout (Speckled and Gray), Mackerel (King and Spanish), Spade Fish, Blue Fish, Lady Fish, Cobia, Tarpon
