Symptoms of Demodex can range from asymptomatic to itching, redness, burning sensation, blurry vision, and in severe cases, even eyelash loss. The condition is often associated with blepharitis, inflammation of the eyelids. Demodex is currently treatable with a recently (as of July, 2023) FDA approved eye drop, Xdemvy. With a 6 week regime, this eye drop has shown great results in combating Demodex. Worried about Demodex infestation?
