Why do we care about where the tongue rests?? 🤨 Besides promoting nasal beathing and overall better oral health, our mouth’s resting position is the starting place for all speech sounds! If our tongue, lips, and jaw are already in the ideal position, it makes for an easier transition between speech sounds.

One thing about me - I love learning 🤓 I would have stayed in school forever if I could! Instead, I fill my time taking courses to become the best clinician I can be for my clients. The ACE award is a recognition for going above & beyond the ASHA requirement of 30 hours over 3 years🏅

Did you know❔The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) states that orofacial myology is already in the scope of the speech-language pathologist, BUT that the clinician must be “specifically educated and appropriately trained to do so.”
