We’re having our annual(ish) fundraiser to support the studio AND also to celebrate 6️⃣ whole years of providing affordable and accessible yoga and mindfulness, building a community where all people feel safe, welcome, and loved, and using our sacred space as a platform for social justice.
This community, our community is special - ask anyone. I know I’m biased, but I also know this studio has been a lifeline, a home, and a safe space for countless people.
I’m sure you’ve heard - We’re a bit different over here:
• I don’t have a long roster of teachers - to teach at &ttww, you absolutely must believe in the power of community and be an active part of ours, stand up for the rights of others, and be a damn good teacher.
• I pay fairly and always will - I don’t pay based on “your numbers” - what bu****it is that, anyways? I pay based on the fact that you are human and a skilled teacher.
• I will always fight for justice and equality…loudly - and that means this community does, too. My business is in fact a representation of my morals and values. Wild, right?
• Yoga should be accessible. Yoga should be affordable. Yoga should be inclusive. Our studio offers quality practice at a cost people can afford. It’s not about “prioritizing your spending” or “your health is worth it, isn’t it?” People need to eat, pay bills and rent, and take care of their families. Yoga and other forms of self care and fitness are in fact at the bottom of the list. I get it. This is why I do every single thing I can do to ensure you’re able to show up without having to choose. You (yes, you!) get to do yoga and be in community without sacrificing another part of my our well being because you are worthwhile.
I could write endless essays on this six year old babe I call my second home, but you should just come out to a class or an event and see for yourself.
Come to our fundraiser and help us continue moving forward and doing what we do. If you can’t come, there’s other ways to support.
In gratitude,
M.
