Showing up for conversations people don’t get to have out loud very often. Such a privilege. An honor.

Also, fidgets aren’t distractions. They’re anchors.

Regulation matters for both people in the room.

Trying to conceive adds a layer of invisible weight to a season that already asks a lot of us.

You might be managing joy and heartbreak in the same hour, excusing yourself from rooms that feel too loud, or rehearsing answers to questions you wish no one would ask.

None of that means you’re doing anything wrong, it means this is hard.

Give yourself permission to protect your peace, notice the moments of comfort, and be held by people who understand the terrain you’re walking.

đź’«Saying no is a boundary
đź’«Leaving early or not attending at all is honoring your capacity, not letting people down
đź’«Limiting who knows about your TTC is protection, not secrecy
đź’«Removing yourself from triggering conversations is emotional safety, not avoidance

Your heart deserves nothing but gentleness this holiday season.🫶🏽

OCD and anxiety don’t take breaks, especially during tender seasons like fertility treatments, pregnancy, or postpartum. For many people, these experiences can actually turn the volume up on symptoms.

Intrusive “what if” thoughts get louder. Doubts feel heavier. The pressure to make the “right” decision can feel overwhelming. And the shame that comes with thoughts you don’t feel safe saying out loud can be so isolating.

If this is your reality, please know this: you’re not overreacting, you’re not dramatic, and you’re certainly not alone.

This is why Milana is so passionate about supporting people who are navigating both OCD/anxiety and the emotional complexities of fertility and new motherhood. The overlap is real. The impact is real. And you deserve support from someone who truly understands the weight of it, both clinically and personally.

Your experience matters. Your feelings make sense. And healing is absolutely possible.

Took this mirror selfie at a summit because it captured a truth I’m finally owning:

Some days I feel grounded and confident, and other days I’m navigating the beautiful chaos of being a neurodivergent business owner, mom, wife, a new dog mama, and so much more!

I’ve never been comfortable being “on the spot.” My dad was always the one in the spotlight and thrived in that light. I grew up learning to blend into the background.

Now, I’m slowly learning that stepping forward doesn’t have to feel like pressure.

It can feel like claiming my place.

It feels like growth…well, it is growth. Let me name that for myself.

If you’re balancing many identities too, you’re not alone. We’re doing great.

Halloween reminds us how easy it can be to put on a mask.🎭

When you’re struggling with infertility or pregnancy after infertility, sometimes that mask looks like:
🕸 Smiling at baby announcements
🕸 Saying “I’m fine” when you’re not
🕸 Pushing through when your heart feels tired

If you’re tired of wearing that mask, therapy can be a place to finally take it off.

Pregnancy OCD is having an intrusive thought that feels terrifying and out of character, then spiraling in guilt for even thinking it.

For those who’ve struggled with infertility, these thoughts can feel even more intense. After years of hoping, planning, and worrying about whether a pregnancy would even happen, your brain can become hyper-alert to any potential “risk” to your baby. Intrusive thoughts may show up more frequently, and the guilt can feel heavier, because you’ve already endured so much to get here.

But here’s the truth: intrusive thoughts are a symptom of anxiety, not a reflection of your intentions, your safety, or your love for your baby.
Many people experience them during pregnancy and postpartum, especially when hormones, anxiety, and responsibility feel so intense.

If this is something you’re struggling with, you’re not alone. It’s treatable. Therapy can help you untangle the fear, guilt, and shame so you can begin to feel like yourself again.

Milana specializes in supporting people through Pregnancy OCD and related anxiety. Reach out today - the 🔗 to learn more and schedule is ⬆️ in the bio.
