This place came up in my memories — this is where I was born and raised.

My Granny worked for her house and was able to buy her own home through hard work and dedication.

My Granny was born in 1918 and became a midwife at UIC when that wasn’t even heard of. She was a strong woman ahead of her time.

She taught me two main things:

Follow God and make your own money.
And I have done just that 🙏🏾💪🏾

Her legacy lives on through me.
