It’s with so many big feelings, that I complete my Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy training. It's been astounding to see the healing that can happen with this method that holds others with such beautiful loving presence. Such a bittersweet day to end my time with this cohort and teachers that feel more like FAMILY and HOME than anything close to school. It is with much joy I share that we start YOGA OUTDOORS this Sunday!! So for all your mom’s and nurturers of life, what a treat we can offer ourselves beginning on Mother’s Day. Outdoor yoga has been a saving grace for many of us through the pandemic, and like others, I’ve fallen in love with practicing with the grassy earth beneath our feet. I’m thrilled the park district is bringing back our magic spot at Taylor Park.

Sunday Morning Yoga, Taylor Park 10-11am - Vinyasa and Breathwork – We’ll likely be on the northeast side of the park, though if it’s too wet, we might need to be on higher ground on the northwest side. Bring your mat and props if you have them, and layers too. For inclement weather we’ll be at Ridgeland Commons. If you’re new to the park district, it’s the best fitness bargain in town and has a great community vibe. I’ve been sparked up by a practice that is lighting my heart up (literally!) I’m so excited about it, I thought I’d throw together a circle tomorrow (New Years Day). We’ll bring love into our hearts and spread it out as a blessing. It will be a beautiful way to set space for the upcoming year! The session generally starts with Kundalini breath practices that offer powerful ways to shift your state and make meditation much more accessible. You may find it’s easier to practice in a group setting with the potential to bring you to even deeper states. Plus, the breath practices are a great way to boost your respiratory health. What a great time to start a meditation practice or revisit a faded one. It’s a welcoming group for meditators old and brand new.

It's been a great joy to practice together this year. It feeds me! Many blessings to you and your loved ones in this new year.
