We clean our teeth every day, let's clean our world, too!

Effects of Pollution on Oral Health:

-Long-term exposure to polluted air increases decay, tooth loss, and oral cancer.
-Oxidants in polluted air during pregnancy are linked to cleft lips/palate in newborns as well as impaired demineralization and hypodontia (fewer teeth).
-Breathing in pollutants can cause inflammation in the body/mouth, leading to gingivitis and gum disease.
-Drinking contaminated water can cause immediate and long-term damage to your teeth (including staining/discoloration) as well as your body.

How we can make a difference:

-Turn off the water while brushing teeth to slow down water waste.
-Unplug Electric Toothbrush when not in use to save energy.
-Use a reusable cup when rinsing/using mouthwash to reduce paper waste.
-Go paperless to save the trees and the healthy oxygen.
